Fleming Medical Renews Support for Irish Heart Foundation’s “Before Damage is Done” Campaign with over €25K Donation
25 June 2025
This year, the partnership is back with a stronger focus on raising awareness and promoting early blood pressure checks, especially for adults over 50
Following the overwhelming success and public engagement of last year’s campaign, Fleming Medical is proud to continue its support for the Irish Heart Foundation’s National Blood Pressure Awareness Campaign, “Before Damage is Done.”
As part of its 2024 commitment, Fleming Medical pledged to donate arounds and tops of 10% of all sales from its Medicare LifeSense blood pressure monitors, with proceeds going directly to the Irish Heart Foundation to fund vital education and awareness efforts. Thanks to the support of pharmacies and communities across Ireland, the 2024 campaign resulted in a donation of €25,105.

A Nationwide Movement to Protect Heart Health
High blood pressure is often symptomless but can lead to serious conditions such as stroke, heart disease, and kidney failure if left unmanaged. Dubbed the “silent killer,” it affects millions across the globe—many without knowing it.
In 2024, 65 pharmacies across Ireland participated in the “Before Damage is Done” campaign, offering free blood pressure checks and guidance to their local communities. This year, Fleming Medical is calling on even more pharmacies to join the initiative and help empower individuals to take control of their heart health.
“This campaign reflects the incredible power of healthcare providers and community,” said Mia Fleming, Commercial Manager at Fleming Medical. “The impact we saw last year—with pharmacies stepping up to offer checks and advice—was inspiring. We're proud to renew our support for the Irish Heart Foundation and urge even more pharmacies to join us in tackling high blood pressure before damage is done.”
