Supply Chain Buyer/Planner

As a Buyer/Planner, you will work within the Supply Chain team to secure supplier commitment ensuring quality, accuracy, and delivery. You will find solutions to the daily challenges that the team juggles, ensuring you provide overall support that is central to delivering to our customers. We’re looking for someone full of ideas who is eager to learn new skills and grow with us.

Reporting to the Head of Purchasing & Supply Chain, you will be responsible for:

• Placing purchase orders with existing and new suppliers
• Working with the Supply Chain team in managing stock, purchasing, and delivery schedule.
• Working collaboratively with Sales, Design, Marketing, and other relevant teams to understand the requirement to develop and implement sourcing plans for new products
• Sourcing the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality
• Product maintenance on SAP, ensuring pricing and customs commodity codes are correct.
• Assist in evaluating and negotiating terms with potential suppliers
• Ensure Service Level Agreements are in place and adhered to by suppliers
• Pro-actively support the Head of Purchasing & Supply Chain in the delivery of all goals
• Ensure that the highest quality standards are maintained in all functions & responsibilities of the job as well as executed in a manner that supports company’s quality standards
• Support Lean activities and initiatives
• Perform other duties/special projects as assigned

Skills and requirements for the position:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a purchasing related role
• Relevant 3rd level qualification
• Sound knowledge of sourcing from the Far East
• Good knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office
• Excellent supplier relationship management skills
• Proven experience of juggling a multitude of ever-changing priorities and working at pace
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
