Financial Accountant

Our Finance Team is looking to recruit a newly qualified Financial Accountant who will be involved in reporting, controls, and hands on accounting. They will also support the Head of Finance with the preparation of management accounts, audit requirements, process improvement and other ad hoc tasks and projects.

Main duties:

• GL account reconciliation
• AR/AP processing and management
• Bank account management and reconciliation
• Accrual preparation
• Pre-payment preparation
• Journal entry
• Management accounts
• Tax compliance and return preparation, incl. Intrastats/VIES
• Year end audit
• Grant preparation
• Financial analysis and commentary
• Ad hoc financial reporting
• Potential projects with other functional areas of the business

Skills/Experience Required:

• Recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• 1-2 years post qualification experience, preferably in industry
• Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
• Knowledge of SAP B1 a distinct advantage
• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
• Enthusiastic attitude and an ability to work to deadlines
