MEDICARE BURN SPRAY 50ML

Medicare® Burn Spray (Medical device) is a hydrogel containing hyaluronic acid and plant excipients. It is intended to treat minor home skin burns (superficial and superficial partial-thickness burns) or as a treatment for skin after excessive sunbathing. Medicare® Burn Spray creates protective plastic film on the top of the wound which accelerates the healing process.

Indication: Medicare® Burn Spray is intended to treat minor home burns – superficial and superficial partial-thickness burns and to treat skin after excessive sunbathing. Characteristics of superficial burns (Combustio erythematosa): Redness of burnt area and intact epidermis. The healing process lasts several days and there are no after-effects. Characteristics of superficial partial-thickness burns (Superficial Combustio bullosa): Redness of burnt area and blisters. Only superficial damage of epidermis and dermis occurs and the burns are fully and without after-effects healed if treated correctly.

Medicare® Burn Spray creates a protective plastic film on the top of the burn. The film prevents the wound from drying out, enables a natural wound respiration and it is sealed against moisture and microorganisms from the external environment. High contents of water, hyaluronic acid and excipients cool down and soothe the burnt area. It also keeps optimally moisturised environment that helps accelerate regeneration. The layer of Medicare® Burn Spray is being renewed on the burn until it is completely healed.

Contraindications: Medicare® Burn Spray is not intended for deep partial-thickness burns (Deep combustio bullosa) or full thickness burns (Combustio escharotica), when the epidermis and dermis is deeply damaged or full dermis is lost. Do not use Medicare® Burn Spray in case of an allergic reaction to any of the contained ingredient. Do not use for children under 3 years of age. Consult a physician about the use in case of pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Intended use: Treatment for minor home skin burns (superficial and superficial partial-thickness burns) or after excessive sunbathing.

Intended user: For the whole population, for children older than 3 years, for diabetics.

First aid and use of Medicare® Burn Spray on burns:

1. Move the burnt area of the body away from the hot surface, hot liquid, fire, steam or sunshine.
2. Cool the burn down with running water (the temperature between 8-12 °C) until the pain stops; recommended time duration up to 15 minutes. In exceptional case when water is not available, use Medicare® Burn Spray repeatedly to cool down the burns.
3. Apply Medicare® Burn Spray on the whole burnt area in a way the spray does not flow down.
4. Repeat the application twice a day at least to ensure that burnt area is constantly covered with protective film and that the process of moist healing is enabled.
5. Rinse the actuator with running warm water after an accidental contact with the burn. Close it with a lid, once the actuator dries up.

Duration of treatment: Use until the wound is healed (usually several days). After an excessive sunbathing use until the skin colour is darkened/ tanned and when the feeling of burning sensation disappears.

Safety precautions: In case of excessive redness of the skin and blisters formation after sunbathing, in the case of inflammatory response, or if in doubt, see a medical help. Also see a physician in case blisters keep expanding after the first treatment. Do not get in eyes. Avoid breathing the spray. Any serious adverse effect related to this product should be reported to the manufacturer and the Health Products Regulatory Authority. Pressurised container: May burst if heated. Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames, and other ignition sources. No smoking. Do not pierce or burn, even after use. Protect from sunlight. Do not expose to temperatures exceeding 50°C. Keep out of reach of children. Dispose of the container within organised refuse collection.

Shelf life: Use until the date indicated on the bottom of the container.

Ingredients: Aqua, Sodium Hyaluronate, Propylene Glycol, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Carbomer, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Hydroxide. The product does not contain active substances, biological materials and blood derivatives.
