Asthma
Asthma is a common long-term lung disease which causes inflammation and narrowing of the airways and can result in breathing difficulties and thick mucus. Triggers for asthma are mostly inhaled and won’t cause an acute exacerbation of asthma but can worsen the symptoms.

Dr. Iseult Sheehan is Clinical Director at Allergy Ireland, and is a fellow of the RACGP, a member of the ICGP, the British Society of Allergy & Clinical Immunology and the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. She studied Medicine at The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and holds an honours Degree in Biochemistry and Immunology from Trinity College Dublin.
