Its non elastic nature helps avoid wound constriction and makes it ideal for clinical use during treatments that require inelastic compression. Inelastic compression is commonly used in the management of veinous disease to improve venous return and to reduce oedema. Compared to an elastic bandage, an inelastic bandage has high stiffness. The stiffness of a compression therapy system can be assessed by measuring the static stiffness index. The White Open Weave Bandage - or WOW Bandage as it is commonly known – is hypoallergenic and made from 100 % cotton.
